Federal court deems banning of 'ballot selfies' violation of First Amendment

CONCORD - The NH law banning "ballot selfies" was reversed by the U.S. District Court on Tuesday.
The law, which went into effect on Sept. 1 2014, banned a person from sharing a photo on the internet, specifically social media, of his or her ballot - an offense that could be punishable by up to $1,000.
However, the law has now been deemed by federal court as a violation of First Amendment.
