Father and son flown to hospital for serious injuries after motorcycle crash


CONCORD - A father and his 13-year-old son were seriously injured after the motorcycle they were riding collided with a car on Mountain Road, the Concord Monitor reports.

Police didn't give details of the accident, which happened around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. The crash remains under investigation but police say the 37-year-old man didn't appear to be wearing a helmet and was in serious condition. The 13-year-old was his passenger and he was wearing a helmet.

Police said there were two people in the car who appeared to be okay, and the identification of both the man and his son have not been released pending family notification.

Police said Mountain Road was closed for a few hours and portions remained closed until 4 p.m.
