Fast-moving fire in Rochester heavily damages apartment building, no one injured
ROCHESTER - A three-alarm fire on Chestnut Street has caused extensive damage to an apartment building, but no one was injured.
According to Fosters.com, Firefighters say there were five people living at 1 1/2 Chestnut St. The fire spread quickly through the walls and into the attic, making it hard for firefighters to extinguish.
Firefighters say the fire was so hot that a building to the left of the apartments suffered exterior damage.
The cause remains under investigation.
