Farmington police officer gets huge Facebook 'Thank You' from man who was pulled over

FARMINGTON - The Farmington Police Department got quite the thank you Wednesday when a 21-year-old expressed his appreciation on the department's Facebook page.

According to Facebook, Niklaas Walters, 21 of Somersworth, was pulled over around 11 p.m. Tuesday night by a Farmington police officer for going what Walters said was "well over the speed limit."

Walters who is described to have a poor driving record due to speed, was speeding this time due to a family emergency that the officer considered, sending Walters on his way.

To express how appreciative he was towards the officer for letting him go during a drastic time, Walters wrote a long thank you describing how happy he was that the officer was polite and considerate given the circumstances, and then posted it to Facebook.

Check out Walter's post below:

I want to extend a massive thank you to an officer who stopped me last night. I was doing well over the posted speed...
