Farmington man sets state record with 1,900 lb pumpkin


FARMINGTON - A local man set a state record for growing a nearly 2,000 pound pumpkin this past weekend.

Hiram Watson of Farmington Came in first place at the Topsfield Fair this past weekend for his 1,900 pound pumpkin. Watson won the title of breaking a state record, along with a check for $5,000. Watson is the owner of Watson's Orchard in Farmington. He says he planted the pumpkin in April.
