Family: Finalized autopsy results will lead to arrests in death of Alexandria toddler
ALEXANDRIA — Authorities are waiting to arrest anyone involved in the death of Alexandria toddler's death until autopsy results are finalized, according to the Union Leader.
11-month-old Shawn "SJ" Sylvester Jr. died on Nov. 15 of a blunt- impact head trauma on Fowler River Road.
According to authorities, Sylvester Jr.'s death was ruled a homicide by a medical examiner.
Barbie Colburn Sylvester, the toddler's paternal grandmother, thinks once the final determinations of the autopsy come back, arrests will be made.
“We are all just patiently waiting for the full autopsy report to be released, it will be at least a few more weeks,” Sylvester told the Union Leader. “The truth will come out once they’ve got the full report. We’ve been told that’s what they are waiting for.”
SJ was with his mother, Dee Sylvester, and her boyfriend, Tommy Page, when he was killed.
Page has also been charged with 23 counts of possession of child sexual abuse images which can result in 7½- to-15 years in prison.
