TILTON — What police thought was just a false inspection sticker on a car Monday turned into a major drug bust in Tilton.

Tilton Police Department say they stopped a car on Route 93 near Laconia Road for an alleged false inspection sticker, which led to them finding evidence of drugs.

After obtaining a search warrant police seized over 750 grams of heroin, with an estimated street value of $80,000 dollars, and a large bag of crystal meth, police say. They also recovered a large amount of cash, more evidence of various drug sales, and a handgun, reportedly stolen out of Boston, Mass.

Police say Bryan Franklin, 39, of 82 Washington Street, Penacook NH and Cre Clay, 21, of 2 Spaulding Street, Nashua are expected to face federal drug and weapon charges for their involvement.

Police say the drugs were clearly intended to be sold in the area.

The case is still under investigation and anyone having information should contact Tilton Police Detectives at 603-286-8207.
