The National Weather Service continues Strafford, Rockingham, and eastern Hillsborough Counties (including Manchester and Nashua) under a Blizzard WARNING in effect until 7am Monday. A Winter Storm WARNING remains in effect for central/western Hillsborough, Merrimack, Belknap, and Cheshire Counties until 7pm Sunday. A Winter Weather ADVISORY remains in effect for Sullivan, Grafton, and Carroll Counties until 7pm Sunday.
Yet another Nor'Easter continues to pound parts of NH this Sunday Morning. Low pressure will rapidly intensify and slow down off the New England Coast as we go through Sunday. This will lead to heavy snow early, but then strong winds with blowing snow, greatly reduced visibility, and low wind chill values.
Snow will continue to taper as we work through the morning. Appears that most if not all of the snow will be done with by noon. Blowing and drifting snow will be an issue even after the snow has come to an end. Greatly reduced visibility will also be a big issue along with low wind chill values.
Central and southern reaches of NH can expect anywhere from 8"-14" of total snowfall with 12"-20" possible for the Seacoast with some isolated higher totals possible. For far western reaches of the Granite State, essentially along the Connecticut River, and the North Country, you can expect more along the lines of 3"-7" of total snowfall.
Winds will be sustained out of the North and Northwest anywhere from 15-35mph with gusts perhaps as high as 50mph. The coast can expect the strongest winds which may lead to blizzard conditions (sustained winds or frequent gusts to at least 35mph with visibility reduced below a quarter mile for at least 3 hours). Minor coastal flooding will be possible until 11am Sunday. Beach erosion is also possible for several hours due to splashover from large waves.
Temps will be in the teens and single digits with wind chill values anywhere from -5° to as low as -40°for the North Country, especially later this PM.
