Exeter Zoning Board to make decision on homeless center

EXETER- The zoning board in Exeter is set to make a decision Tuesday on a controversial proposal for a homeless center in a residential neighborhood.

An organization called Seacoast Family Promise is looking to open a day center for homeless families at a former daycare on Hampton Road.

Some neighbors have been outspoken at meetings against the proposal. They have concerns about property values and safety concerns.

Supporters of the project say they should locate there because of the good work they do.

A decision is expected to make at Tuesday's meeting at 7 p.m. at the Exeter Public Library.
