Eversource agrees with NH state regulators to sell 12 energy plants

CONCORD (AP) - Eversource Energy announced Thursday it had reached a deal with state regulators to sell its three fossil fuel plants and nine hydroelectric plants. The plants, what the fossil fuel plants burn and the electricity produced (fossil fuel plants only) are:

Fossil Fuel

- Merrimack Station, Bow. Coal. 439 megawatts

- Newington Station, Newington. Oil and/or natural gas. 400 megawatts

- Schiller Station, Portsmouth. Coal or oil, two units; biomass, one unit. 150 megawatts


- Amoskeag Hydro, Manchester

- Ayers Island, Bristol

- Canaan Hydro, West Stewartstown

- Eastman Falls, Franklin

- Garvins Falls, Bow

- Gorham Hydro, Gorham

- Hooksett Hydro, Hooksett

- Jackman Hydro, Hillsborough

- Smith Hydro, Berlin
