Everett Turnpike gets another safety truck to help drivers
The Associated Press
NASHUA — Another safety patrol truck is assisting drivers along N.H.'s Everett Turnpike.
The truck, which started covering the area Friday, is supplementing an existing truck that covers the 44 miles of the turnpike that runs from the Massachusetts state line in Nashua to Concord.
The goal is to reduce the potential for traffic tie-ups by clearing minor accidents, removing debris and assisting drivers in need of minor repairs.
In 2014, patrol vehicles responded to 2,178 incidents.
The truck is being added as part of a public-private agreement with State Farm.
