Event to offer services for veterans in Nashua

NASHUA — An organization that helps homeless people is holding its annual "Veteran Stand Down" event targeting veterans.

Harbor Homes in Nashua is offering services to veterans from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, such as peer support, employment assistance, help with accessing benefits, emergency shelter, and other issues.

Governor Maggie Hassan will speak at the event.

Harbor Homes is a not-for-profit organization established in 1980 that serves low-income community members throughout the entire state, with a focus on the greater Nashua and southern New Hampshire regions.
