Event celebrates dePaola's 50 years of publishing

CONCORD (AP) - Tomie dePaola, the author and illustrator of "Strega Nona" and many other books for children, will be the featured guest at an event hosted by the N.H. Humanities Council.
DePaola will discuss his work and inspirations with storyteller Rebecca Rule at the free event on Saturday, April 18, at 2 p.m. at the Concord City Auditorium.

The event celebrates dePaola's 50 years of publishing his stories and illustrations.

After discussing his writings and ideas, dePaola will take questions from the audience and sign copies of his books, which will be on sale at the event.

More than 15 million copies of his books have been sold worldwide.
