Evening gala caps off donations for Greater Nashua Habitat for Humanity

NASHUA— After two weeks, funds were finally capped off with an evening gala for the Greater Nashua Habitat for Humanity.

The gala was able to collect 108 percent more donations than last year's event. Anheuser Busch donated $35,000 towards the Chestnut Street project.

The Chestnut Street Project will abolish the previous Nashua Soup Kitchen and Shelter Inc. and build a brand new one, with a brand new duplex home for two local families.

While in the building stages, the group is taking applications from families interested in living in the building.
