Eve Tarmey's death ruled fentanyl overdose; Tarmey's mother, man arrested

ROCHESTER - Rochester police said Thursday that the toxicology results of Eve Tarmey, the 17-year-old who died at the Riviera Motel, prove Tarmey's cause of death was a Fentanyl overdose.

Rochester Police Chief Michael Allen spoke at the press conference. According to Allen, Tarmey's mother, Jazzmyn Rood and Mark Ross, the man staying at the Riviera Motel who was present when Tarmey died, have been arrested.

Rood, 41, has been charged with conspiracy to commit possession of a controlled drug, endangering the welfare of a child and reckless conduct.

Ross, 41, has been charged with conspiracy to commit possession of a controlled drug, tampering with witnesses, two counts of falsifying evidence and dispensing a controlled drug - death resulting.

Rochester police also are searching for Leslie Aberle of Salisbury, Mass. There is an active arrest warrant for Aberle who is wanted on charges of possession of a controlled drug, tampering with witnesses and dispensing a controlled drug death resulting.

Anyone with information of Aberle's whereabouts is urged to contact Rochester Police.
