ESPN shows video of Michigan fan missing $10K prize by a half-second
A Michigan basketball fan gave the unranked 6-5 Wolverines something to get excited for on Saturday.
$10,000 was at stake for a half-time contest that challenged a fan to make a lay-up, a free-throw, a 3-pointer capped off with a half-court shot all within 35 seconds.
In this video provided by ESPN, the fan is shown hitting the layup with ease, nailing the free throw on his second attempt, pulling off a jump shot from behind the arc and then draining a half-court shot only to find out he was a half-second too late.
