MERRIMACK - Erin Brockovich is taking a water contamination investigation to Merrimack.

According to the Union Leader, the environmental activist and the law firm that filed a class-action lawsuit against Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics and Honeywell International over contamination concerns are now including the Merrimack plant, and expanding the investigation to the town.

Last week, four faucets at Saint-Gobain’s Merrimack plant detected low levels of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA).

Chronic PFOA exposure has been linked kidney cancer, testicular cancer, thyroid disease, and other heath issues, according to Weitz & Luxenberg - the law firm working with Brockovich.
