EPPING — An Epping woman and her parents are facing felony charges for after police said she beat an 18-month-old child she was watching that belonged to homeless woman.
Doctors said they believe the injuries might lead to permanent vision impairment, and Jami Castine, 27, also is accused of hitting the child’s twin brother, the Union Leader reported.
Castine's parents, Timothy and Joni, were also charged.
Joni Castine, 61, is charged with failure to report and endangering the welfare of a child. She is also being accused of not reporting injuries from the alleged abuse.
Timothy Castine, 55, is charged with falsifying physical evidence after allegedly taking a cellphone from a friend who recorded video of the alleged abuse and deleting it.
Jami Castine was scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday morning for the charges of first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault, and seven counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
