Emergency workers summoned for hiker who may have overdosed in a NH state park

PETERBOROUGH — Emergency crews were called to Miller State Park for a hiker who was possibly overdosing on drugs.

Allison Bako, 20 of Boston Massachusetts, was hiking on the Wapack trail with three friends.

When Bako became lethargic and could not walk or talk, her friends became concerned that she was overdosing.

Peterborough rescue personnel, police and conservation officers responded to provide medical assistance.

Bako was able to walk to the ambulance with assistance. She was transported to Monadnock Community Hospital for evaluation.

Police are investigating the incident.
