Elderly woman died after laying in urine and feces for days in NH, 2 women charged

EXETER — A mother and daughter are facing charges for allegedly allowing an elderly woman to die while laying in her own "feces and urine" on the floor of their shared Exeter home.

Katherine Saintil-Brown, of Houston, Texas, and her daughter, Meritel Saintil, of Dorchester Center, Mass., were acting as the woman's caregiver in February of 2016 when she passed away.

According to the indictment the two women, "allowed Nancy Parker to lay on the floor of their shared home for multiple days in her own feces and urine without calling for help." Parker developed a fatal case of necrotizing fasciitis, a flesh-eating disease, which was brought on by the alleged neglect.

Saintil-Brown and Saintil were charged with negligent homicide, criminal neglect of an elder adult and penalty for violation (failure to report adult abuse). Exeter Police was contacted but the call was not returned.

Saintil-Brown and Saintil are scheduled for arraignment on March 10.
