Elderly tied up in Hollis break-in

HOLLIS - Police in Hollis are investigating a break-in at a home on Worcester Road early this morning where a 93 year-old woman was tied up.

According to a press release, "several unknown subjects" entered the home around 4:30am and tied up the 93 year-old and her 60 year-old female caretaker. One of the women was able to get free after the suspects left and called police. The older woman was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital for what's being called "non-life threatening" injuries.

According to the statement, State Police have joined Hollis Police in the investigation of the incident. Investigators believe it's an isolated case and there's no ongoing threat to the community.
