Edamame products recalled due to lack of allergy information on labels


CONCORD – Nature’s Promise Organic Edamame products have been recalled due to allergy ingredients not listed on the label.

According to the FDA, the labels do not include edamame contains soy, a common allergy.

If you are not allergic to soy, you are safe to consume the product, but those with soy sensitivity should be advised.

The following products are included in this recall:

-Nature’s Promise Organic Shelled Edamame, 16 oz., UPC 68826712764

-Nature’s Promise Organic Edamame in Pod, 16 oz., UPC 68826702124

The products are often sold at Stop & Shop but there have been no reports of illness.
