Easter Seals NH agrees to pay $30,000 in settlement over Medicaid claims

CONCORD - Easter Seals New Hampshire has agreed to pay $30,000 as part of a settlement reached with the state Attorney General over allegations that the nonprofit submit Medicaid claims without adequate documentation to support them.

The investigation was conducted by the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, looking into Medicaid claims for disability services that Easter Seals made between February and April of 2013. The Attorney General's office says Easter Seals fully cooperated with the investigation. The $30,000 payment covers both restitution and investigative costs, officials said.
