Early morning prowler reported in Bow, police ask residents to check for missing items
BOW - Police are asking homeowners to check their property and vehicles after arresting a man who appeared to be prowling around the area of Pepin Drive at 3:30 a.m. Friday.
Travis Baker, 30, of Lebanon, was charged with prowling, and police said additional charges may be forthcoming. Police say they were alerted to the prowler by a neighbor who saw someone walking in the woods near Pepin Drive.
With help from the state police, officers first located Baker's car and later found him exiting the woods near Hooksett Turnpike.
Police say he was dressed in black and had gloves, a small flashlight and an empty backpack. They suspect Baker emptied the contents of that backpack before police found him.
Anyone with items that are missing or stolen - or who may have seen something related to this incident - are asked to call 228-0511.
Police also are reminding residents to lock their doors and vehicles even when home.
