CONCORD -- New Hampshire's two members of the Republican National Committee were re-elected Saturday, as was the New Hampshire Republican State Committee's vice chairman.

The voting took place at the state GOP's annual meeting, which was held at Concord High School.

Former four-term state party chairman Steve Duprey, a longtime RNC committeeman, faced no opposition and was re-elected on a voice vote. Duprey has long steered efforts to keep the Granite State's primary first in the GOP primary and caucus calendar.

Veteran Republican activist Juliana Bergeron narrowly won re-election as committeewoman. She topped Free State Project activist Sharon Osborne 124-122.

The new terms for Duprey and Bergeron will begin at the conclusion of next month's Republican National Convention in Cleveland and will run through the 2020 GOP convention.

While Bergeron's re-election was a nail biter, NHGOP Vice Chairman Matt Mayberry won in a landslide. He topped Hillsborough County GOP Cmte. Vice Chair Dan Hynes by a 190 to 52 vote.

"I am honored by the overwhelming faith the NHGOP has placed in me. Today is the first day toward winning in November and the real work begins today. I will continue to work hard for the party to unite the ticket for November," Mayberry told NH1 News.

Mayberry is a top assistant to Carlisle Capital owner Bill Binnie, who separately is president of the NH1 News Network.

NHGOP chair Jennifer Horn was not up for re-election at the annual meeting.

The convention wisdom is that Horn will not run for a third term as state party chair next January. Mayberry has said he run for the chair position if Horn doesn't make a bid for re-election. Saturday's overwhelming victory should put him in a stronger position should he infact run for the top spot in January.
