Du Monde Gourmet recalls ready-to-eat Jafflz sandwiches to avoid risk of food poisoning

Du Monde Gourmet is recalling about 235 pounds of its ready-to-eat pocket sandwiches due to a flaw in the cooling process which may have exposed the food to bacteria that can cause food poisoning.

However, no cases of illness related to the sandwiches have been reported.

According to a release posted on Dec. 31 2015 by the United States Department of Agriculture, The Jafflz Retro Pocket Sandwiches were made on Dec. 17. Possibly damaged products include the spaghetti, bacon egg and cheese, Italian sausage, and beefy Sloppy Joe.
