Manchester drug raids net 9 arrests, crack, heroin, pills and cash
MANCHESTER - Drug raids at apartments on Pine Street, Central Street and Lake Avenue led to nine arrests and the seizure of drugs valued at $20,000 along with just over $9,000 in cash.
Police say they seized about $18,500 worth of crack cocaine and smaller amounts of heroin, marijuana and pills during a series of raids starting around 4 p.m. when Manchester police along with the State Police Narcotics Unit executed search warrants at 178 Central St., first and third-floor apartments, 144 Lake Ave, #21 and 452 Pine Street, #311.
The arrests followed an undercover investigation involving detectives who'd purchased drugs from the targeted addresses over the past several weeks. Police also made several additional arrests at Central Street, where police found several people with outstanding warrants for their arrest and one person was charged with possession of marijuana.
Those arrested on Pine Street are:
Khamin Todd, 29, of Manchester, who was charged with being a fugitive from justice out of New York City, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine (76 grams with an estimated street value of $11,500); possession with intent to distribute heroin (17.8 grams with an estimated street value of $1,400) and possession of a controlled drug (6.6 grams of marijuana with an estimated street value of $100). Police also seized $1,717 in cash.
Vienna Rivera, 29, of Manchester, charged with sale of a sontrolled drug (heroin). Detectives also located and seized $4,800 in cash from the Pine Street apartment where she was staying.
Those arrested on Central Street are:
Courtney Barrett, 43, of Central Street, charged with sale of a controlled drug and placed on a 72-hour hold for a warrant stemming from a probation violation.
Jose Agosto Guerrios, 19 of Bell Street, charged with possession of a controlled drug (marijuana).
Charleyann Martin, 25, homeless, on a warrant from Raymond.
Jessica Michaud, 32, homeless, arrested on two non-drug related warrants.
Warren James Helm, 29, homeless, was also arrested on a non-drug related warrant from another agency.
Those arrested on Lake Avenue:
Sandra Quintanilla, 38, charged with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine.
Angel Rodriguez, 26, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and sale of a controlled drug (heroin).
Detectives seized 51.5 grams of crack cocaine (with an estimated street value of $7,000), Alprazolam and Oxycodone pills and $2,581 cash inside of the Lake Avenue apartment.
Quintanilla was released on $5,000 cash/surety bail and is scheduled to appear in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on Sept. 9. Agostos-Guerrios was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear in the 9th Circuit Court-Manchester on Oct. 9. The other seven individuals are scheduled to be arraigned Friday.
