Driver pinned, truck breaks into pieces after I-93 crash in Concord

CONCORD – A tractor trailer driver was pinned inside a truck after a late night crash on I-93 North on Tuesday night.

According to State Police, the tractor trailer went off the highway into the woods and hit multiple trees around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.

When Concord Fire and EMS arrived they found the operator of the tractor trailer pinned inside the vehicle and both fuel tanks had ruptured, causing the trailer to break into multiple pieces.

Keith Spence, 37 of Meriden, Conn., was extracted from the vehicle and transported to Concord Hospital with serious injuries.

State police continue to investigate the crash as it involved a commercial tractor trailer vehicle.
