Driver hits ambulance in Manchester


MANCHESTER - An accident between a car and an ambulance Sunday morning resulted in soft-tissue injuries, none of which were life-threatening, according to Manchester police.

According to police, a driver ran a red light at the intersection of Maple and Spruce streets and hit an ambulance. The ambulance was not transporting a patient at the time.

Both paramedics were injured and transported to Elliot Hospital, according to the Union Leader.

The driver of the car was taken into police custody after attempting to flee the scene on foot.

Manuel Castellanos, 24, of Manchester, was charged with conduct after an accident.
