CAMPTON - A driver heading south in the northbound lane of Interstate 93 has been charged with driving under the influence after a crash that sent several people to the hospital and closed I-93 for more than two hours early on Sunday.
According to police, they received a call at 1 a.m. about a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction on the interstate. Minutes later, the accident was reported just south of exit 27 in Campton. Police say a tan Chevrolet Tahoe was heading north when it was hit by a Toyota Tundra driven by Christopher McClure, 28 of Lowell, Mass. who was traveling the wrong way. The occupants of both vehicles were seriously injured and were taken to Speare Memorial Hospital in Plymouth.
