Downed trees reported as severe thunderstorm warnings in effect for most of NH

The National Weather Service has issued severe weather warnings for many portions of the state.

Severe thunderstorm warnings have been issued for Merrimack County, Sullivan County, Carroll County, Rockingham County, Hillsborough County, Strafford County and Cheshire County.

The warnings are in effect until 7:15 p.m.

Thunderstorms, heavy rain and damaging winds can be expected.

Plymouth, Holdnerness and Ashland already have reported trees down due to the storm.
