Downeaster death update

Police confirmed that the train hit a man around 3pm behind the Home Depot at 58 Plaistow Road.

The train was full of passengers traveling from Brunswick, Maine, to Boston's North Station.

"They've been sitting here, probably almost two hours," Lieutenant William Baldwin stated yesterday afternoon. "They've been very cooperative, patient. They understand there is a very serious incident here."

No passengers on the Downeaster were hurt.
