St. Thomas of Aquinas High School recent graduate, Ryan McKenna, was chosen in the fourth round of the MLB draft by the Baltimore Orioles.
McKenna was recently named the best high school prospect in New England by the New England Baseball Journal and is one of a select Granite State teenagers to be drafted; the last was Jeff Locke who was picked by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 2006 draft.
McKenna, who committed to play Division I baseball at Liberty University in April, now has a tough decision to make.
He must decide whether or not to deny the Orioles and attend college at Liberty University.
If so, he would have to wait three more years before being eligible to reenter the MLB draft.
