Dover police issue arrest warrant for man they say sucker punched stranger

DOVER - The Dover Police Department put out an arrest warrant Thursday for Thomas Joy, the man they believe sucker punched a Somersworth resident outside the Dover Brickhouse restaurant on April 2.

After a lengthy investigation, Dover Police Chief Anthony Colarusso announced the warrant for Joy, a 24-year-old resident of Rochester. Joy is described as a white male who is approximately 6'1" with brown hair and brown eyes.

The surveillance camera footage of the assault was released to the public in hopes of identifying the man who committed the assault. The Dover Police received a number of tips which aided the investigation.

Joy's whereabouts are unknown, but the Dover Police are again urging anyone with information to step forward and call the Dover Police Department at (603) 742-4646.

A fundraiser for Jones was held earlier this money to raise money for the 33-year-old whose jaw was broken in the attack.

A GoFundMe page has already raised thousands of dollars for Jones' recovery.
