Dover, NH, police arrest 2 men on burglary charges


DOVER - Police have made two arrests in connection with recent residential burglaries in the city.

Sean Laughton, 27, was arrested at 151 Indigo Hill Road #33 in Somersworth, while Daniel Sterritt, 45, was arrested on High Street in Somersworth, both on Monday.

Both men have been charged in connection with daytime residential burglaries, one on Sixth Street on Oct. 15, and one on Middle Road on October 17.

Sterritt has been charged with two counts of burglary, both felonies. Laughton has been charged with two counts of acting as Sterritt's accomplice by acting as the getaway driver for Sterritt, both also felonies.

No one was home during these burglaries and no injuries have been reported.

Laughton declined the services of a bail commissioner, while Sterritt was held on $10,000 cash bail. Both men are scheduled for arraignment in Dover Circuit Court on Tuesday.

The Dover Police Department worked with the Lee Police Department and the Maine State Police in this investigation.
