Dover makes plans to expand, improve community trail
DOVER – The city is planning to expand and improve the three-quarter mile community trail that runs from Fisher Street to the Dover Transportation Center.
New grant funding will improve the trail for year-round use. The project includes plans to pave the trail from Fisher Street to Rutland Street on the southern end and create a new trail head at the northern end from Fourth Street to Beckwith Park.
City officials along with the Community Trail Advisory Committee will be hosting a meeting for anyone interested in the project or with ideas for the future of the community trail. The meeting is scheduled for Sept. 29 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.
