Dover laundromat stayed open dispite dryer catching on fire
DOVER — A laundromat stayed opened even after a dryer caught on fire Thursday night.
Dover Fire and rescue responded to 75 Broadway Laundromat when heavy smoke was seen coming from a dryer, Foster's reported.
Capt. Chris Jacques told the paper that the fire was contained to one unit. The source of the fire is still unknown.
The laundromat stayed open and no one reported damages to their clothes in any of the other machines.
The laundry in the machine was damaged and estimated to be about $30 but Jacques.
