Donate Your Ex's Stuff: Goodwill's Valentine's Day campaign says everyone wins

Reminders of a relationship gone bad are the last thing anyone wants on Valentine's Day.

Now a Goodwill store in Florida has the perfect answer - "Donate your ex's stuff."

According to the Orlando Sentinel, a Goodwill store near Sarasota has launched a campaign encouraging people to purge their exes from their lives by donating their stuff to one of its stores.

It could be a cozy flannel shift left behind, old photo frames, jewelry or teddy bears associated with the former beloved.

"Break-ups are never easy – it is important to get rid of the items that keep exes stuck in the past, releasing the emotional and actual baggage that keeps them from moving on to new and better days," the non-profit organization said in a press release.

To kickoff the event, Goodwill hosted a party on Monday complete with pizza and Taylor Swift music.

The donated items will be sold in Goodwill retail stores.
