Dog that bit Manchester woman located; no charges to be pressed

MANCHESTER - The owners of a dog that bit an elderly woman walking in her neighborhood on Monday have come forward.

Aneila Borun, 88, was walking around 4 p.m. Monday when a boxer bit her multiple times, police said.

Borun told police a woman and juvenile female were walking the dog on a leash but the young juvenile lost control of the leasH.

The dog immediately ran toward Borun and started to attack her, police said.

Borun was bitten several times before the dog was taken back into custody by the adult owner, police said.

Once the adult gained control of the dog, she and the juvenile left the area, police said. Borun's son took her to the emergency room.

Borun said Tuesday that she would not press charges and that the dog was up to date on its rabies vaccination.
