Do not try this with plastic: Police respond to man wearing paper bag on his head

BANGOR, Maine - Bangor police took to social media to speak out in favor of tolerance after a man wearing a paper bag on his head was reported to the department.

However, they did recommend the man avoid walking into a bank while wearing his disguise!

Here was their post on Facebook:

"The cool thing about America is you can do as you please if you are not hurting or causing issues for others.

I like that.

We also should be cognizant that if someone does not agree with us or the things that we do, we don't really need to argue about it. Each can go their separate way and continue doing what they believe is the right thing.

This man was called into us as being suspicious. We can absolutely agree with the caller. We had a friendly conversation and it was determined that this is how the person (seen here wearing a paper bag) wanted to walk around town.

Is it how you would do it? Probably not.

This is definitely one way to remain anonymous but there are other ways and it might be better to try one or two of those other ideas.

Yes, we know there are Unknown Comic jokes to be made but we are avoiding them.

This particular method of concealing oneself is not illegal but we urge people to avoid banks and other businesses while wearing a bag on their head. There is a time and place for everything.

Do not try this with plastic.

Keep your hands to yourself, leave other people's things alone and be kind to one another.

We will be here."
