Developers to break ground on $30 million new resort at Loon Mountain, creating 400 new jobs

LINCOLN - Developers will soon break ground on a $30 million resort project at Loon Mountain, called RiverWalk.

The luxury ski resort at the foot of the mountain will feature amenities and conveniences of a grand resort like Vail or Aspen, according to the owners of InnSeason Resorts, based in Cape Cod, Mass.

The company already operates resorts stretching from the beaches of Massachusetts and coastal Maine, to the ski resorts of New Hampshire's White Mountains and western Maine.

"For local skiers, it means a fabulous new ski destination at one of New England's best ski mountains, and for the New Hampshire economy, it signifies long-term development and investment that the area hasn't seen in years," said a company spokesman.

The developers are planning to break ground soon on the project, which is expected to bring 400 new jobs to the Lincoln area
