DERRY - Organizers of this year's Derryfest 2015 said the event was bigger and better than ever.
According to the Union Leader, thousands of people attended the 26th annual community festival at MacGregor Park on Saturday.
“It's a beautiful day here at Derryfest,” said Derryfest Chairman Michael Gendron. “We've got the sun shining and we have thousands of people roaming the grounds. The attitude is very positive, and people are thrilled with Derryfest.”
This year, the number of booths sold out and far exceeded last year's total of 116, with a record of about 130 booths set up for 2015, Gendron said.
Among those booths was NH1, with staff shaping balloon hats and balloon animals for visitors who stopped by.
NH1's Joe Tombarello even got some video of a four-legged visitor to the event, Gregory the tortoise.
And as they say, a good time was had by all.
