Derry Town Moderator accused of violating state election law

DERRY — State officials have said that Town Moderator Mary Till allegedly violated state election law during the Sept. 13 primary.

Secretary of State William Gardner said his office along with the Attorney General's office received two complaints about Till's actions, according to the Union Leader.

Gardner said that Till should not have handled ballots since her name was on it for elective office.

He alleged that Till recounted the votes after an AccuVote machine was used.

Till, who denies having broken any laws, plans to meet with local officials about the upcoming election.
