Derry residents react after court orders special election on town council's budget cuts
DERRY – Voters in Derry will have a chance to weigh in on the town’s controversial budget cuts at the polls.
Derry residents have until September 30 to head to the polls and vote on the cuts that affected Derry fire, police and public works employees.
A judge has ruled that a special election must be held after citizens filed suit in May claiming town council’s budget process was illegal.
