Derry man stabbed after argument with former girlfriend


DERRY - Police are investigation the stabbing of a Derry man, who was allegedly assaulted by unidentified man during an argument with a former girlfriend on Saturday afternoon.

Police say they got a call just after 2 p.m. to 257 Rockingham Road, Apt. B for a reported assault. The victim, Jason Jovell, had been stabbed several time in the chest. Police say Jovell was involved in a dispute with a former girlfriend. According to police an unidentified man appeared and attacked Jovell with a knife before fleeing the area.

Jovell was taken to Parkland Medical Center for treatment of stab wounds and other injuries. The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Derry police at 432-6111.
