Derry firefighters could actually hear 2-car crash near station that injured 4 people

DERRY — Members of the Island Pond Fire Station were able to actually hear a two-car crash that sent four people to the hospital on Thursday around 2:40 p.m.

It took firefighters one minute to respond to the crash that left two people moderately trapped in a sedan. It took 13 minutes to free them completely.

The patients were taken to Parkland Medical Center, one with possibly serious injuries.

Derry firefighters were assisted by personnel from Derry police, Salem fire, Windham fire, and Trinity ambulance services.

The accident remains under investigation.
