DERRY - Fire Station No. 4 on Hampstead Road is officially reopening on Thursday.
The Derry Town Council met for the first time Wednesday night since last week's special election.
The council voted 7-0 to put $1.6 million back into the 2016 budget.
Initial reports said to add more money to the budget, taxes would go up, but that turned out not to be the case.
Taxes will actually go down $1.04.
There will be a celebration at the Hampstead Road fire station on Sunday at 4 p.m.
The station opens its doors at 7:45 a.m. Thursday.
