Derry considering ban on fireworks, possibly only permitted on July 3,4
ROCHESTER — Officials in the town of Rochester are considering a ban on fireworks, possibly making them an Independence Day only activity.
During the council meeting Tuesday, the chairman of codes and ordinance committee, Peter Lachapelle, said there are two suggestions, according to The Union Leader. One would be a complete ban on fireworks, and the second would make fireworks legal only on July 3 and 4.
The matter will be addressed again on Dec. 1 at 6 p.m., where the full council will vote.
