Defensive stand helps New Hampton improve to 3-0

A goal-line stand as time expired helped the New Hampton School football team defeat the Hyde School (Connecticut) 17-12 Saturday.

New Hampton did all of its scoring in the second quarter. The Huskies received two touchdown runs from Isaiah White and a two-point conversion catch from Jordan Collier. New Hampton also scored when Carter Dillon returned a fumble 97 yards on a play that followed a Hyde touchdown.

Derek Borghi, Robby Donnelly and Seamus Tully spearheaded a New Hampton defense that kept Hyde off the scoreboard in the second half.

The victory raised New Hampton's record to 3-0. Hyde dropped to 1-1.

New Hampton will attempt to go 4-0 when it plays the Hyde School (Maine) on Friday night at Kennedy Field.
