Dartmouth social entrepreneurship program gets $3 million

The Associated Press

HANOVER - A Dartmouth College program that explores how businesses can benefit society in addition to their bottom line is getting a $3 million boost.

The college has received $3 million from the Sherman Fairchild Foundation to endow an undergraduate leadership development program for students interested in social entrepreneurship. The Paganucci Fellows program sponsors students through summer internships and additional work during the following academic year.

Last year, six fellows traveled to China for a consulting project at a school that educates children of migrant workers.
